Intention to Hire Gerardo Mendoza as Long-Term Substitute Teacher

McGill School of Success, having so far not identified a suitable permanent teacher for its 3rd Grade General Education class, plans to offer the position of Long-Term Substitute Teacher to Gerardo Mendoza

1. Assignment Details

• Position: Long-Term Substitute Teacher

• Grade Level/Subject: 3rd Grade General Education

• Duration: This assignment is expected to begin on January 26th, 2026, and continue through approximately June 12, 2026, or until a permanent teacher is hired.

2. Responsibilities and Expectations

In this role, Mr Mendoza will be responsible for all duties of the regular classroom teacher, including:

• Developing and implementing daily lesson plans aligned with State standards.

• Managing classroom behavior and fostering a positive learning environment.

• Grading assignments and maintaining accurate student records.

• Participating in Parent-Teacher conferences and staff meetings.

3. Compensation

• Daily Rate: $250.00 per day.

• Benefits: No health benefits are provided.

4. Contingencies

Hiring is contingent upon:

• Possession of a valid Long-Term Substitute Permit.

• Successful completion of a criminal background check and fingerprinting.

• Verification of TB test results.
