This year's Schoolsite Council (SSC) will hold its first meeting on Tuesday, September 15th at 5pm; anyone is free to join at the school or online via meet.google.com/ofn-tmro-txi The Schoolsite Council develops the Local Control and Accountability Plan for programs funded through the consolidated application, as well as the school's Comprehensive School Safety Plan. We will be taking student pictures on Tuesday, September 22nd. If you wish to order photos, various photo packages are available, as well as other items such as cups and clothing. Thu Sep 24 - Coffee with the Principal and Celebrating Grandparents - 8:30am
Coffee with the Principal is your chance to speak with the Principal one and one, to give your input and ask your questions. This month, we're pairing it with a celebration of grandparents, who are a beloved part of the McGill family. Watch the kids sing and dance their love! If you can't make it in person, you can watch over the Internet at meet.google.com/nua-vuxc-nht Students: It would be so fun if you dressed like grandparents!


Thu Sep 10 - Field Trip Lemonade - 4pm
When life hands you lemons, what do you do? Go on a field trip! After school and throughout Back to School Night, McGill will be selling lemonade and other refreshments to fund field trips for the students. Lemonade, fruit punch, popsicles, water, nachos will all be available; cash, credit or Venmo. Supporting our students is tasty! (If you don't want lemonade, you can still give by visiting mcgillschoolofsuccess.org/donate)


Thu Sep 10 - Back to School Night - 5pm
Families, please join us for Back to School Night, on Thursday, September 10th at 5pm! You can meet the teachers, coaches and staff who make McGill a phenomenal place, see your student's classroom, ask questions and give feedback. We'll even have food for sale!


Mon Sep 7 - Labor Day - School Closed
McGill will be closed on Monday, September 7th, in honor of working people and the labor movement. School will resume on Tuesday, September 8th.


Fri Sep 4 - Use 30th St Gate Only
School Entrance Notice: Drop-Off Changes for Friday, Sept. 4 Please be advised that construction work will begin on the front of the school at 6:00 a.m. on Friday, September 4th, 2026. The front entrance will remain closed all day Friday. This year, out Sunrise to Sunset program will be operated by Klassic Kids Harmonium. During the morning you will see Ms. Maria and Mr. Lopez.
